Bringing Columbia Home

On January 16th, 2003 a watch that was given to me as a birthday present was launch into space on a 16 day mission with seven of my friends on the Space Shuttle Columbia.  On February 1st, Columbia was 16 minutes from her home at Kennedy Space Center, before she lost her aerodynamic stability and broke up at an altitude of about 39 miles above east Texas. 

As humans, we look for silver lining in a tragedy.... the watch was my silver lining.  

"Bringing Columbia Home" written by two dear friends - Mike Leinbeck and Jonathan Ward, which tells the story of all the amazing people that brought Columbia home from east Texas... including my watch.
